    Great detail that tells the full story of "Ford vs. Ferrari"

    Great story of a big set of events in racing and automotive history. The movie "Ford vs. Ferrari" was taken from this book, but due to it's complexity it was impossible to tell it all in 2 hours. The book tells many more of the elements of the story. The story of Henry Ford II is one story that is in the book, but not as detailed in the movie. Ford II was an amazing business man, turning Ford Motor Co., from a mess in 1947 into #1 in the World some 8 years after taking over the company at only at 28 years old. Another is the detail of Le Mans as an event- it's difficulty, danger and what it takes to win this race. The movie is a great one, but you need the book to truly understand the situation and background.

    Even Better than the Movie Upon Which it is Based

    The book upon which the movie "Ford vs Ferrari" was based is excellent and well-written. It provides the needed background for the multi-million dollar fight between two historic companies with radically different approaches to winning the LeMans 24 hours. The personalities and the technical challenges faced by them are explored with enough detail to be interesting, but with the human interest drama to keep you drawn into the story. Really makes you appreciate what it takes to not only field a modern day auto racing effort. But it really shines in describing the experience of the drivers who risk their lives in the sport.
