Arbuckle plays the cook of the title, Keaton a waiter. Next is A RECKLESS ROMEO, featuring Arbuckle playing a husband with a wandering eye. His attempt at a discreet liaison meet with hilarious consequences when Arbuckle and his paramour are discovered by BOTH of their spouses!   • Funny, must-see antics from Fatty and Buster!

    This is a small collection of shorts, 2 with Fatty Arbuckle, 1 with Harold Lloyd. The 2 Arbuckle shorts are good, especially "The Cook" which has not been much seen since 1918 and was considered a "lost" film until very recently when fragments of it turned up in the Netherlands! The restoration is overall excellent with a blue tint that hides many flaws, except that the last few seconds are still missing. What remains, however, presents both Keaton and Arbuckle in top form. Fatty's acrobatics in the kitchen (he is the cook of the title) are really funny, and Buster Keaton's antics perfectly complement the big man's comedy. Luke the Dog is also on hand, and he adds to the humor as well. The second film "Reckless Romeo" is typical of Fatty's comedies where he flirts too much and gets into ...
