Nice computer for internet. Specailly with 10.5 leopard installed. Spell check is good to have all the time. I mostly use a pc. Not having eject buttons on drives takes some getting use too. But pressing alt f12 isn't that hard to eject a dvd. Opening the case is soo simple. just pull a latch and everthing is right there easy to work on. The computer runs lots cooler than my pc's Open it up, and the cpu heat sink is cool as the room temp. Installing a modem for it was easy too. The general specs say it has a data /fax modem. But it not true. The jack is there and hidden. by one screw and move it over to reveal. General specs May just mean the drivers and the jack is there. the accual modem card isn't. I bought one and installed it. works well...
I purchased this Quicksilver PowerMac because mine suddenly stopped after about 10 years of use, and I bought this identical one to use parts and to get everything I needed off my old hard drive. However, I plugged it in, and it worked so well that I have just decided to use it. I am using my old hard drive in it for now, but I will use the clean hard drive supplied with this QS. I simply love the QS for the way it looks and performs. It seems as responsive as my much newer MacBook Pro (which has already needed a new battery and a new logic board!) and a newly purchased Mini (which I haven't used that much), so I don't see the need to replace it with another $1-2K machine. It's large, but that doesn't bother me. Apple made great products. Yes I would buy it again. And probably again.
i only need to upgrade a better video card and newer operating system from there on a a fast great looking computer just great
