Normalerweise ist der Kauf gebrauchter optischer Geräte so eine Sache- gerade wenn man keine Möglichkeit zur Ansicht hat. Aber dieser Teil lief (gottseidank) problemlos und das Gerät war gut verpackt im einwandfreien Zustand. Zuvor hatte ich eine 350D und demnach genügend Wechselobjektive. Es sollte eine mit einem größeren Display werden und natürlich Vorteile gegenüber der 350D besitzen. Technisch gesehen hatte ich nie Probleme und war -auch von der Qualität und der Möglichkeiten- völlig begeistert. Zur "Upgradeauswahl stand nun: 30D,40D oder 450D. 30D akm dann nicht in die engere Wahl, da sie a) mit zu oft als defekt angeboten wurde und b) nicht wirklich mehr brachte. Auch die 40D wollte kein so richtiges Preis/Leistungsverhältnis finden. 450D schien ein guter Kompromiss zu sein. Was sofort nach dem Auspacken auffällt: sie ist leichter (als die 350D) und wirkt vom Plastik her billiger bzw. windiger. Man wird das Gefühl nicht los, dass Canon hier klar die "Consumerline" trennt. Dafür wartet sie mit Technik auf, die "begeistert". Allein das größere Display und die damit größer angezeigten Funktionen. Die Vorschau nicht zuvergessen- können zb. Brillenträger mit leichter Fehlsicht begeistern ;) Die Anordnung der Knöpfe und Menüs ist ähnlich praktisch gehalten, so dass der Umsteiger ohne langes Lesen die Dinge wieder findet, die er tatsächlich benötigt. Sehr praktisch: der Iso-Knopf in Verbindung mit dem vorgelagertem Einstellrad kurz hinter dem Auslöseknopf! Die Akkulaufzeit ist weitreichend. Dank der Preise für SD Karten ist hier ein größeres Paket "erschwinglicher" als bei den CF Karten für die 350D. Das sollte auch überlegt sein, denn ich wunderte mich wie schnell 8GB voll sein können wenn man hochauflösend Jpeg+Raw speichert. Ich kann sie nur empfehlen! Ich denke, sie ist in ihrem Preis/Leistungsverhältnis genau das Richtige für den anspruchsvollen Fotografen. Sorry, aber die teuereste Materialschlacht und das teuerste Gerät hilft nichts wenn man keinen Bezug zur Materie hat. Deshalb dürfte es für die meiste Hobbyfotografen ein Unsinn sein, sich auf Gerätschaften zu stürzen die zwar doppelt so viel kosten... aber eben im Automatikmodus auch nur Bilder machen :) Und mal ehrlich- braucht man wirklich ein GPS in der Kamera? Muss ich mit einer Spiegelreflex Filme drehen können? Wohl kaum.Read full review

Ich habe mir das Kameragehäuse gekauft, weil ich eine gleiche Kamera bereits besitze und alle Objektive und weiteres Zubehör weiter nutzen kann. Für mich ist es praktisch, einen Body am Stativ zu lassen und nur die schwereren Weitwinkel und Teleobjektive zu wechseln und eine Kamera schnell zur Hand zu haben.
