I applied this to on the inside of a brand new pellet door opening to stop smoke that got past the factory installation rope gasket on the door, just to thin. So now when the door is shut it's rope on the door against the new rope on the perimeter of door opening. This increased the tightness of the seal by slightly less than 1/8 th inch as I pulled the rope tight across the edge and the rope adhesive is holding well.
