About this product

Product Information

Today's NFL fans have more viewing options than ever before. Each and every week, football addicts plant themselves in front of big-screen, high-definition TVs and watch the game they love unfold via slow-motion replays and multiple camera angles, pausing and fast-forwarding the action on their DVRs as they please. Yet while more and more football fans are watching the NFL each week, many of them don't know exactly what they should be watching. Take Your Eye Off the Ball is not a beginner's introduction to football, nor is it a technical manual for only the most studious of fans. Instead, it clearly and simply explains the intricacies and nuances that affect the outcomes of every NFL game.

F1 1990 - 1999 DVD review box set as listed. However, the box I received is Region Code 2 NOT "0" as in the listing. The discs are NTSC not PAL so the two I tested seem to play OK, so all is well. Super fast shipping. Considerate packaging. Thank you!

  • If you enjoy watching football & learning more about.it....read this book!!

I've listened to Pat on radio for a number of years and his understanding, explanations of the inner-workings of a pro football team is amazing. He has a way of putting things in simple terms for a layperson to understand. In this book he tells one how to watch a football game to get more out of it by "taking your eye off the ball" and watching specific players. In it he explains (coaches) the reader about some of the aspects of coaching and formations, etc. Mr. Kirwan is an impressive person on air. Extremely cordial, knowledgeable, interesting, and polite...unlike some of the other radio personalities on Sirius radio that I quit listening to. If you are a person that enjoys football this is a very good read.

  • A GREAT football primer for people with a lot or little football IQ.

I bought this book as an educational tool for my wife who likes football but would like to know more. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. The author has a wealth of football knowledge and a co-writer that formatted and assisted the primary author (Pat Kirwin) with a great final product. Although I intended this book for my wife, I am reading it as much as she is. I cannot more strongly endorse the book.
