Reviews
"Reminds us that the best way to get to know a garden is through our senses. Don't expect to make it through many pages before you feel an urge to run outdoors to reintroduce yourself to your own landscape." --Michelle Slatalla, Gardenista "I want to eat this book. To savor its sweetness. Tovah Martin has packed it with the sense and sensibilities of her gardening year. Mouthwatering." --Marta McDowell, author of The World of Laura Ingalls Wilder and Beatrix Potter's Gardening Life "Anything written by Tovah Martin is a treat, and The Garden in Every Sense and Season is no exception. A chronicle of her garden throughout the year, it is a sensory journal. . . . Readers will feel like they are following along as she completes her seasonal tasks. . . . While not every seasonal task is mentioned, Martin's experience and advice offer insight into how she gardens and food for thought for others who are fortunate enough to do so as well." -- NYBG's Plant Talk "The principles and inspiration are applicable regardless of where you live and design." -- The Designer "Martin skillfully and sensitively shows that fall and winter are as appealing, if not as showy, as spring and summer. . . With her support, getting through winter might be a little easier this year." -- The Columbus Dispatch "Will ring familiar with gardeners everywhere. . . . a gem of a book." -- Country Gardens "A gifted writer, Martin expresses herself in creative ways that draw in the reader." -- Smith Mountain Laker "A poetic new book of essays." -- Old-House Journal "Tovah Martin loves the way spring unfolds--nice and slow." -- Daily Gazette "Urges gardeners to inhale, savour and become more attuned to our gardens." -- The English Garden "A personal and poetic journey." -- Design New England "An interesting and beautiful read." -- The Reading Eagle "More than just a top-notch garden writer, she's a Connecticut treasure." -- Connecticut Gardener, "Reminds us that the best way to get to know a garden is through our senses. Don't expect to make it through many pages before you feel an urge to run outdoors to reintroduce yourself to your own landscape." --Michelle Slatalla, Gardenista "I want to eat this book. Seller incorrectly printed label -blamed eBay. Said I should request a refund or “wait” for eBay to fix the problem. After I told them I didn’t want a refund, wanted the item I paid for including a ridiculous $15 in shipping for 2lb item, they said they would pay out of their own pocket to ship it. They shipped the item and gave me a new tracking number- tracked item which said delivered- to a different state! They blamed USPS. No apology! terrible experience- feel Totally scammed
