    A Good Read

I read first the Finnish translation of the book but didn't really like the language. It felt like the translation was made somewhat coarsly. For example, here there were these rather harsh Finnish cuss words which I found a bit annoying and redundant. I was sure there was a more gentlier way to translate the intention of the author. So I went to Ebay to find a good copy of the original English book. And yes, now that I've read most of the original English book I can confirm what I've said above. The original language is subtle and rich, and the story itself is amazing.

    What I think

Don't know what all the fuss is about!!!!

  • Different and quite compelling read.

A fascinating read. I didn't actually know what direction the story was taking and so it kept my attention throughout. The main protagonist ,Rachel, is a well developed character and one can empathise with her many ups and downs. Quite humorous albeit also sad in places. When the end came, I was sure that I had missed something and had to review but alas either I am a bit naive or the ending did not really do justice to the rest of the book. However, a refreshing and somewhat odd read. Recommended.

  • Crime under a new format

A compelling read, set out with dated chapter headings which helped me keep track of the story. Makes you wonder what is really going on out there!!

  • Excellent!

What a book! Fantastic read, read this, then watched the movie, as always the book is so much better. I think the film would have been confusing if I hadn't read this, I couldn't put it down, I now have to find a book as good, could be a challenge 🙁 I recommend people to read this even if they have watched the movie.
