Students in grades K-1 will learn to comprehend and analyze any reading passage after completing the activities in Jacob's Ladder, Grades K-1 (2nd ed.). Each set of student workbooks includes 5 student booklets, divided by grade level and area of emphasis (short stories, poetry). Corresponding to the instructions and activities outlined in the teacher's guide Jacob's Ladder, Grades K-1 (2nd ed.), students read high-interest passages, then complete skill ladders connected to the short story readings to move them from concrete thinking skills to higher order, critical thinking skills. The ladders include multiple skills necessary for academic success, covering language arts standards, such as sequencing, determining cause and effect, classifying, inferencing, and recognizing main ideas. This sellers "two day" shipping policy is baloney - it took a over five days and repeated emails before this item shipped. I almost thought I would have to request a refund from eBay. That being said, when it did ship, it was nicely packaged and arrived undamaged. I would not buy from this person again because they don't honor their own policies! I can only leave positive feedback because 1) the item DID arrive, and 2) it was as described. The rest wasn't a great experience.

I dislike complaining, but I'm unhappy with this transaction. The deck/book set, described as "like new," was mailed in such a flimsy envelope that it arrived twisted out of shape, to the point where one of the cards was stuck to exposed glue inside. I wrote to the seller about the situation but received no response. I didn't ask for a return because the price wasn't high, but even at this price I expect more care in packaging. (I have ordered other items from this seller that arrived intact.)
