I decided to buy this when my old IDE hard was giving out, I liked the space for an 133mhz motherboard, the hard drive would not take on that certain MSI motherboard, so it was of no use, also the hard drive was a 2005 model (new) so SeaGate would not support anything on it. No tools to get it started, XP would not boot, whatever I tried. I never had this problem with Western Digital in the past,it was usually an easy deal, just all the loading of updates, with all the time involved, but this Hard Drive was a real Pain, finally got it to take as a slave on An old Dell computer. Never had any problems with these drives,can`t say that for other brands,only time that I will replace is to get larger size of same type. Totally happy with this product.
