Book did not match listing photo (pic2) The listings only photograph was of an autograph page (pic 1) which means this seller did not photograph the actual item being sold. The seller had to be contacted twice to get a full refund. The shipping cost was very expensive and item was poorly packaged. I have been buying items from ebay for many years and this is the first time I have delt with a seller whose listing was so blatantly dishonest. Buyers beware!

$10 shipping and took over 2 weeks, refused to give tracking number, the cover is bent but they did not disclose that, poorly packaged and arrived open, overall bad experience and customer service- they just send copy and paste messages. I would avoid this seller.

Great Message Packaged in an Amusing Story with Delightful Illustrations

This is a children's book, but it is fun for all ages. The message of being true to yourself, and having confidence in your own opinion despite what other's think, and despite how society pressures you, is timeless. That serious message is packaged in an amusing tale, and the illustrations are charming. I bought nine copies and gave them to everyone on my block (hoping to either justify my home decorating decisions or strike terror in their hearts... okay both:)

  • The Big Orange Splot

Although labeled as a book intended for children 2-5 years old, the book is anything but a childrens book! This is by far our all time favorite book! When my son was in junior high he was asked to do a book report....unknown to us (his parents) he chose "The big orange splot." When his teacher saw the book he had written on she was upset (after all the book is only a few pages long) until she read it. The next day she read the book aloud in class! To a bunch of JUNIOR HIGH students! They loved it as well. There is so much hidden meaning....from learning unknown terms for "crazy" to the underlying theme that you need to be true to yourself regardless of what others think. Then too, the book ends with all of "plumbean's" (the main character) neighbors coming to understand that they ...

  • Best Book on Individuality

This is obviously a child's book, however it is one of my favorite books of all time. Adorably funny, concise story of being true to yourself regardless of the reaction of others and also teaches that the reaction of others can change through communication and understanding.
