Dino Crisis 1 and 2 take the Resident Evil formula and add in dinosaurs. Sounds like a perfect match, right? Believe it or not, alot of people (including myself at first) pushed these games off as cheap RE clones. You cant really blame us, after all look at all the RE clones that came out around the same time. After some coaxing from a friend to track these down for him, I played them after I found them, and I was surprised at how similiar, but different they were from the main RE series. Quick moving enemies instead of the stagging zombies, was a positive change, though I see no problem with zombies being slow (they are undead after all). With their Re-release on the PSN, these games have followed the price drop that Castlevania SOTN, MGS, and FFVII all received at their PSN re-release. Any collector should be buying now, because their prices will go back up once people tire of the digital copies, and want the physical copies, making them more valuable them ever.Read full review
Regina isnt your only main character, she is accompanied by Dylan and David, however, David is just a side character. They use the Third Energy i believe to travel into a different time. However their group is attacked by a massive pack of raptors and a T-Rex. Regina and Dylan split up. Both characters are playable, which will make you switch either Dylan or Regina in different points of the game and both have their own weapons and missions. When you kill enemies, you get points. you'll get more points if you don't take damage plus keep your combo high. There are wall panels that act as a save points plus a store. use these points to buy guns, upgrade guns, health, ammo and other accessories. the points are almost infinite in this game. Some creatures are worth more points then others, you can enter and re-enter an area to fight the same monsters. however they will soon run out if you keep killing them, or maybe i should say they'll be extinct for a while. They explore mostly the jungle and some labs, they have a ship that travels across the ocean to another facility, plus you'll get to fight underwater where there's another lab, unless its a regular facility and just got flooded. Dylan will meet a young girl who seems to favor him or show more concern for him. thats becuase Dylan has a BIG connection to her. play the game to find out. after you beat the game, you'll unlock a mode where you can play as Gail and Rick from the last Series, and Regina and Dylan. depending on how many points you obtained, you can BUY monsters for your mode. This mode is bascially just a big arena where you fight each type of monster and gain fame.Read full review
Dino Crisis 2 steered away from the old school Resident evil formula in favor of an action packed, arcade-style shooter with its own unique twist. The fast paced, run and gun gameplay makes this title such a fun experience. This game is rare and a must have for gamers and collectors alike. Enjoy!

I didn't think it could get any better than the original, I was wrong! All sequels should be this good! This game adds alot of new features like 2 playable characters, 10 types of dinosaurs, a new combat system, and characters can equip two weapons at a time. The graphics are improved in this game, as are the controls and already great sound effects. Gameplay is still top notch. My only gripe with this game is that the story is a little lacking and the game is relatively short. DC2 adds replay value by the addition of a second playable character, which helps with the "short" length of this game. You'll basically be doing the same things that you did in Dino Crisis one but with enhanced abilities and more fun!!! I highly recomend you get this game!
The story line is great, you are intrigued and amused by the situations, complications and overall gameplay. You're finding disks that contain info on dinos and what happened to the other people and the mysterious helmet people. When you kill the dinos, you earn points that go toward weapons, armour and medical packs. You're gonna need alot of those! I like earning and buying upgrades for the weapons, armor and health packs, anti poison, etc. In some parts of the game, its really creepy, especially when you enter a dimly lit room and there are raptors in there waiting for you. I shouldn't even mention the T-Rex's, yes it's plural meaning there are many of them! You don't just kill one, they keep coming and you rack up more points. Also teradactiles, poison plants and those amphibious man-eating, bone crunching dinosaurs that are under water. And you should take the blue raptor challenge, it's difficult and a little tricky, but it's worth it and you really rack up the points! If you don't have this game you should get it. It is a favorite and I highly recommend it. Game reviews rate it at 9.2 out 10 and I agree. I discovered the game when my sister let me borrow it. Then I had to have it! It's addicting, challenging, worthwhile and awesome. Jaleenap in West VirginiaRead full review
