    Laredo nonsense.

    Not one of the better Westerns of that era.The 3 Rangers are Neville Brand - the "comical" one , who is mostly annoying rather than funny ( with the worst voice on TV next to Fran Drescher)He would have made a better "Three Stooge " ;Peter Brown the pretty one but not terribly talented; and William Smith the Former bodybuilder who still works out - his shoulder span is mind-boggling, and he doesn't stand - he "poses". Far-fetched story lines and poor sets spoil the overall productions. Many costars and guest stars -mostly never heard of . One episode ,named " The Calico Kid " , mentioned "Calico Kid " 61 times ! Honest - count them !Not for fans of authentic-looking Westerns.

    season one is highly recommended, the episodes are funny and adventurous.

    the video quality needs to be re-mastered, but episodes are really enjoyable and the actors have a natural, genuine comradery, like they're not even acting, so its easy to get into the show. "the golden trail" shows neville brand at his hilarious best.

    GLAD l purchased this set, as I had never previously viewed this series. Transfers of each episode is solid, with only a couple episodes exhibiting brief color fades or flickers. Good sound and all in all, solid packaging but would be cool if a bit more background provided regarding the show's production. Great price and item is exactly as described in posting. Thinking DVD is always a great source for rare and hard-to-locate movies and series.

    Can I be a Texas Ranger???

    A calm, serious Captain in Laredo has to assign his three Texas Rangers to various duties. One is a kind-hearted dufus who has the voice of Harvey Fierstein with a sore throat. One is a good-ol-boy who could be anyone's best friend. One is a silent type body-builder who jumps up on his horse without using stirrups. Most of the time, the three are getting each other out of trouble without the Captain knowing. Beautifully filmed, funny, serious, entertaining. Good, clean fun.
