Good, durable accessory
I like the Fieldpiece EHDLs because they allow you to use an accessory head such as the amp clamp without tying up your meter. It's really good for capturing inrush amp draw on compressors which helps me know how close a given compressor is to pulling locked rotor. In addition, unless you spend the money for a dual readout meter, it's good for measuring amp draw while simultaneously measuring voltage which is good for calculating running microfarads on a capacitor as opposed to static microfarads which can help you predict capacitor failure before you have a call out. I tend to use Fieldpiece more than any other brand of test equipment because of their reliability and value for the money. Fluke is great, but I'm just not willing to pay that price. Iam a hvac tech i wanted to make my fieldpiece heads a stand a lone meters. Instead of switching out the heads all the time. Works really good for that. Fieldpiece makes the best meters on market today. They stand behind there stuff 100%.
