A very necessary product best for many reasons
I have been using tegaderm now for many years. It began as the only way to keep my transdermal HTR patch in place a full 7 days. After surgery one and knowing the mechanics of how tegaderm works for wounds also used it rather than gauze and tape which causes awful reactions even paper to my skin. It is a breathable clear gentle on skin perfect covering ... allowing full view of wounds progress in healing and "wicking away it out" any "potential extra seepage" it swelling due to infection or overly plasma pouring or bloody wound. Last November my body filled with a horrid show of toxic molds and gasses from.a home I was residing in. It caused all Flora and fauna naturally on our bodies fir "good clean up" (yes you indeed have good "live critters on you " never noticed due to micro size. ... Mine hit in in many forms ...one over active necessary normally maintaining homeostasis eating dead skin and excess oils you never see it feel them -over loaded began eating my flesh head to toe..f one happened to fall and they became monteroys in size visible (Drs had a very hard time diagnosing due to the just plain insanity ...it took 7 months of my life turned a horror movie type illness until they did discover the issue I am very lucky to be alive!). I had begun placing tegaderm over the deep and very bloody eaten areas. The tegaderm wicked away NOT only the blood and the ever multiying helpers" which assisted in getting them off and out of deep.deep.areas but and several.yimes staph infection poison very deep very bloody and painful."helpers" run amuck in attempts to do what they thought needed done but caused such damage...no immune system.not gone haywire my body attacking itself these wounds developed staph quite easily and MRSA . Without tegaderm these holes would not have healed quickly the MRSA wicked away ND drawn out kept it from entering my blood stream. My son also uses a different size for the needle on his insulin pump. As ND to gently yet firmly hold extra tubing out of the way. We both have extreme sensitivity to takes and band aides with tegaderm there is zero issye. I reccomend keeping it stocked as you would Band-Aids the healing process far faster if wounds the (must be as mentioned reactions to all band did take products even those marked hypo allergenic burn our skin. I find great deals here for boxes of 100 in stores 8 are up to 12$ if needing these and changing them it's quite expensive to buy just 8 and once you have used these in wounds you'll not wish to return to Band-Aids . They reduce scarring along with faster heal time and again seeing progress in healing without wasting them is a bonus. Stick very well even if fluids build ..and water proof... shower bathe and they will not fall off. Can very easily be to cut to size if needed as well.
