I understand that the book I purchased was on $8 and change and was listed as acceptable but when you ask for the book to be padded securely so it does not get damaged during shipping and they just throw it in a loose poly bag that's just not right. My book arrived at my door ripped and mashed. When I messaged the seller I get I'm so sorry can we offer you a partial refund? A partial refund on a book that's now garbage? No thank you. Seller did nothing else to try and make it right.

Papa Panov's Special Day
This is an lovely little story that I have read to my children since 1978. It became a Christmas tradition in our home and when my now grown children, now with children of their own, come home for Christmas, we still read it, sitting around the fireplace and Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. We adapted it for a play performed by children at our Church, complete with stage sets that I painted from the pictures in the book, and it was one of the best children's Christmas programs ever. We even served soup and bread for everyone in attendance just as Papa Panov had shared his soup in the story. Because one of my sons, who especially loves the memories of reading this story, requested the book for his own family, I decided to try and locate it on Ebay. I have read two different versions of it's origins, but I think that it was originally adapted from a Leo Tolstoy short story. Whatever it's origins, I love this story and what it imparts.
