When I was going through some rough times with creating comics, I had bought a ticket to see this little known band at the time called Origin in Kansas. And it was the very first time I had heard the power of an sheer astral explosion lauched into my eardrums, and I was hooked from then on. So this ended up being the very first release from Relapse Records after the demo of A Coming Into Existence got handed into one Matt Jacobson from Relapse Records, that I just happened to get from the old bass player at the time. Immediately, they got signed on to the Replase roster and long months of consistent touring. This album has plenty of cymbal blasts from John Longstreth (Ex-Angelcorpse) and the vocal onslaughts of Mark Manning. But Paul Ryan and Jeremy Turner supply the onslaught of gutairs sweeps and complexities. While Doug Williams does the bass in this first album (Ex-member of Cephalic Carnage) bringing forth the new destruction of the outerworldly cosmos. At the time, they were a threesome with vocals and with utter devestation. Being a personal friend and a avid fan of this band for so many years, this is one that you must have if your into Origin or brutal metal in general. This was the very first release from 5 guys out of the same brutal place as the BTK Killer in Topeka, Kansas. This is more then just music, it is a band who sucks you deep down into a brutal vortex of astrology and does not let up. This is an unreleting album that sucks you in like a black hole, there is no turning back, because Origin has you from the get-go. Get this album, you will not regret it at all!Read full review
