The items were clearly purchased from the brand’s online store as shipped in its original outer boxes, but the other seller left that outer box sealed and unopened, whereas this seller opened it to check. I kind of wish this seller would just left the outer box sealed so as to guarantee its authenticity in perfect condition.

    A Perfect Purchase

    I was nervous purchasing a used Lego set. You never know how the pieces will turn out. However, I was beyond thrilled when the packaged arrive with a great box, well kept instructions, and the crispest sails ever. All of the pieces were well cleaned. The set assembled very well.

    Pleasantly surprised

    First, I am a die hard Lego fan and always have been but some of the prices out there for some of these fun sets are more outrageous than when I was a kid in the 80's!! Finding the official Lego version of this set to be much too much of a hit in the wallet for nostalgic purposes, I am so happy I found this set. Honestly, other than the Lego logo emblazoned on every nub on every piece and block (smooth on this set) you would hardly know any difference at all. All this being said, if you want to purchase a set for its future value I recommend the official Lego set 100% but I just wanted to have fun putting this set together and feel like a kid again and I did. Highly recommended for the latter purposes!! A++

    Extremely Detailed Build!

    Hours of intense enjoyment to feed my creativity and Lego addiction. The sails are probably the best feature. The crown and crossed sabers really make the ship stand out. The only thing about this build that bothered me is the fact that it only comes with three cannon when there is clearly room for eight. I of course bought 5 more to complete the build. The only lego ship I have built that surpasses this one would be the "Sea Cow", MetalBeard's ship from the Lego Movie.
