(Ultimatum)El manuscrito fue comprado incidentalmente entre las paginas de uno de los volumenes de Historia de Roma de Tito Livio, en 1999, en una libreria de Praga ( Lilie pomsty ). No se hallo el manuscrito hasta una vez abierto en Toledo, en el ano 2003, en que un segundo comprador reparo en el y lo dio a conocer a la comunidad cientifica. Hoy dia el manuscrito pertenece a la coleccion privada de la familia Cuzco, quien muy amablemente me ha concedido acceso a la obra para su estudio, traduccion y divulgacion.Con toda probabilidad el autor se trata de Meris Yanopulos -tambien citado por los historiadores como Meris Giannopoulos o Yannopoulos-, quien paso la primera parte de su carrera literaria (c. 1690-1720) en su lugar de nacimiento, Tesalonica, donde trabajo principalmente como copista y alfarero en una familia judia de clase media. Sabemos que la obra data de la segunda y mas importante etapa del poeta tras un periodo de inactividad, entre finales el s. XVIII y principios del XIX, cuando aun Grecia no habia adquirido su independencia y se encontraba bajo el yugo turco. Los analisis caligraficos, asi como del papel y la tinta utilizados se llevaron a cabo tanto por el Instituto Nacional de Objetivistica (INO) como por el Centro Nacional de Analisis Caligrafico y Datacion de Manuscritos (CNACDM).
