I've played all but the newest of the Nancy Drew games. I have enjoyed all of them, but "The Captive Curse" was especially enjoyable, in my opinion. The game is set in a German castle which is preparing for an annual celebration - a celebration of the fact that the legendary monster that supposedly plagued the castle in centuries past. However, there is a slight problem - the monster has been sighted. The owner of the castle asks Nancy to come to Germany to investigate, but she soon finds that she may well be following in the footsteps of the girls who were whisked away by the monster years ago... Like all the Nancy Drew games, "The Captive Curse" involves exploring different areas and questioning suspects. The castle and the forest are a little confusing to get around in at first, but I figured it out pretty quickly. I personally found the suspects in this game quite fascinating, and there are enough clues that I was able to guess the villain without it being too easy. This game is considered a "scary game" due to monster sightings. I didn't find this the scariest game I've played (Ghost of Thornton Hall, Shadow at the Water's Edge, Curse of Blackmoor Manor, and Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake were the scariest in my opinion). There are, however, a few instances that definitely made me jump. I found this game a little harder than the average Nancy Drew game, and it took me several days to solve it. This is totally fine by me - as long as I can still solve it (which hasn't been a problem with any games so far), the harder the better! Of course, this is just me. Other players may well find this one easier and shorter than I did. Overall, I'm giving "The Captive Curse" 5 out of 5 stars. It has everything a Nancy Drew game ought to have - an intriguing story, interesting characters, lovely sets, good music, moments that get your heart pounding, and plenty of German lore (including Brothers Grimm stories) woven into the plot. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who is looking for an exciting and entertaining game starring one of the greatest sleuths of all time, Nancy Drew.Read full review

Awesome game so far! I have played nearly all the Nancy Drew games and this is one that I have truly enjoyed! Mysterious, and at times very scary! Love it!
Love this game.. one of the best ones yet. Not overly hard like some of them. Some of graphics are very dark, so had to turn off all lights in room while playing in order to see.. other than that I really like this game.
I bought this to play and add to my collection of all the other games, plus I have a few kids that really like them also. The product is great loads of adventure, a little more puzzles you have to play which is great
