Instant Cult Classic! Great Show!
Relic Hunter is a fabulous show that we found by accident while perusing the Amazon Prime Video selections. We love this kind of show and yet had never heard of it until now. Obviously Lara Croft was created from the Sydney Fox character with a couple of tweaks. Tia Carrere rocks as the Relic Hunter and her S1/S2 sidekicks Christian Anholt (Nigel) and Lindy Booth (Claudia) are fabulous--really good cast chemistry, which we all know makes for stupendous series material! Unfortunately, Lindy Booth is only in S1/S2, she's replaced in S3 by an unknown and Buffy level horrible, but because Tia and Christian remain, and the fact Claudia's replacement, Karen, isn't in it much is a HUGE plus in keeping it awesome. this is a lot like Indiana Jones with a little Briscoe County Jr. Mixed in parts. But more like Indiana Jones as she is a professor and goes on hunts for Relics with always some one trying to beat her too it or steal it away. Her side kick and secretary add amusement to the show. It may not measure up to the movies of Indiana, but you can get hooked on this series.
