Board had a broken SATA port housing on the top due to the fact the lock obviously wasn't pressed down to release the cable from the MB. Pins were bent on the MB where case fans were connected to. The place you plug your power switch, reset, power switch LED were also bent and did not come with the little cage that came with the MB. Luckily the MB worked normally as I was just trying to get more time out of my system for a couple more years. It would have been nice to at least get the I/O panel which was also missing. I was able to download the PDF of the MB manual from the Asus website.

My previous review mentioned the usb3 controller had issues, this was not true. On these particular motherboards, x79, the usb3 legacy support does not work right. Disable in bios, and all ports will work perfect. This is a perfectly functioning motherboard, and runs my xeon e5-1650 at 4.7ghz with 8 sticks of ram all day long!

This product is ALMOST the best product to obtain for its price from itself being open-boxed. Everything is securely intact when opened, testing this to turn on with my CPU graphics card works, and BIOS is up to date as it mentions. The only complaint I have of this set is that the one pin from the Q-Connector Kit for the system panel connector is loose, and I'm very unsure if it works at all despite the minimal effect to the mobo itself. If it doesn't work, I might as well not use it. But other than that, this mobo sticks out pretty well with my Intel Xeon E5-2670.

This particular motherboard came with a custom bios installed. I don't know the details of this bios implementation. This board paired with my old 3820 and 16 gigs of 1866mhz ram is more stable than any other x79 system I own. Dual booting Win 10 64 and Ubuntu 16.04. Haven't gotten to use the impi console yet. Best money ever spent on a motherboard!

Needed a X79 motherboard for an edit machine...but it also had to fit an ATX case...not an easy feat since we are now in the X99 and X79-v3 era. I found this board that does everything I need and more. Even though it states it's larger than an ATX board, it really is the same size, so no problems with case. The only con is I cannot use the first PCIe slot for my GTX680 4GB w/PB...it will not sit properly, need to use the 3rd slot, but once the system is up and running, one cannot tell.

Solid & fast product, and was a replacement for an ASRock board that had a faulty module, eventually corrupting data. I'm glad the new ASUS board worked. I was successful in updating the BIOS to have compatibility with my i7-4930K. Was having issues using the internal BIOS flashback but it was probably because my flash drive was not USB 2.0. Luckily I had an older i7-3820 which was one of the early x79 chips and the board recognized it. I just extended my machine for another few more productive years and it feels great.

Awesome board, just too bad this model did not come with a USB 3.0 header on the board. But I got around that with an add-on card.

Quick shipping. Not the best packing but it got to me in good working order. Onboard sub header was broken off cleanly and this wasn't mentioned but it does not affect functionality. Other than that great deal on a premium work station product
