  • Understanding 'Wild'?

Of course it was a beautifully film IMAX-format film, taking full advantage of the camera and the skill of the photographic crew. If the production crew's mission was to bring enlightenment to the masses about Australian 'wilderness' issues and to point out the fragility of the planet's ecosystems, then I would say that this film was moderately successful. However, if are a natural-history freak (like me), then you will be a little disappointed that there wasn't more emphasis on the history and a little less emphasis on knock-your-socks cinematography. I actually rate this film 5 stars for cinematography, but only 3.5 for content message.
