Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Digital Cameras
The new way forward in photography so they tell us, but mirrorless cameras have been around for some time now. Being a life long SLR then DSLR user the problems of carrying heavy gear about in later life led me to investigate the R100 Canon's entry level Mirrorless Camera with its promise of lightweight and ease of operation. Pros: Light weight Excellent Image Quality Lots of programs. Easy to use menu Wi-Fi (If you like that sort of thing) Cons: Battery Life Feels a bit plasticky Lens - Good quality, but fiddly to operate (Reminded me of the old Zenith 50mm f3.5 I started with fifty years ago) New R lens mount means you can't use existing Canon lens without a pricey adaptor. No Touch Screen Operation or movable screen Over priced (when compared to nearest Canon SLR 250D which I also bought because of its light weight and which has more features including those missing from R100). Overall I'm pleased with the camera and would be tempted to upgrade to a better equipped model but not until the prices comes down. Read full review
