    Very Enjoyable

Give it a chance; you won't regret watching this film. The hauntingly lovely Oscar nominated song, "I Am Calling You," is featured throughout, which adds to the sweet moodiness of the film. I missed the film back in the '80s when it was released and am so glad to now have seen the film and own the DVD. Unforgettable...

  • The magic of movie making

This movie stands out because it is about the goodness in people's hearts and the acceptance of of differences. With no crime, violence, sex or politics it reminds the viewer that real people in difficult circumstances an still fall in love and overcome obstacles. Yes, it's a feel good movie, but add to that a breathtaking theme song and beautiful cinematography and you have an american classic.

  • Baghdad Cafe

This film and its haunting song is pure poetry. All these unique souls come together in a remote motel and a German woman brings all of them together with magic. How many of us have landed in places we never thought we would community. Making some prints screen printed of scenes that moved me the most. Lovely film in every way

  • Bagdad Cafe

Bagdad Cafe is one of those gems that you open up the bag, and find that you've got more there than you thought. You find an odd assemblage of visitors and workers at a motel in the middle of the Mojave Desert that look like they just arrived and decided to stay. CC Pounder makes you want to shake her and then hug her, and Jack Palance is a quirky resident of the motel that paints and romances a German woman down on her luck. What starts as a sad, soulful scene with a haunting melody that you hear throughout the movie, ends up magical if not a bit far-fetched, but fun, and makes you feel hopeful that things can truly change when they look impossible.

  • Desert Delight

A tiny, run down gas station/motel/ diner in the middle of nowhere transforms into a truck-stop hot spot, thanks to the warm personality and unusual talent of a "little" old European lady traveler with pizzazz. At once, funny, depressing, and uplifting.
