Speedway!/Spin-Out!/Crypto-Logic! is a Multi-Mode cartridge included with all Odyssey 2 systems sold in the U.S. Not a bad choice for a pack-in by 1978 standards, as it contains a variety of one- and two-player action contests, and a puzzle game that uses the keyboard. In Speedway!, one player controls a large, blocky racecar at the bottom of the screen, dodging other cars appearing from the top. The object is to travel the farthest distance possible in two minutes. Spin-Out! features some exciting two-player auto-racing action. Two cars speed around an oval track, and the first to complete an agreed-upon number of laps wins. If cars hit the track walls (or each other) at an angle, they briefly spin out. In Crypto-Logic!, one player types a word or phrase (up to 14 letters) which the computer scrambles. Another player has to guess the phrase.
