I plug it into my USB c 4 port. my other USB 3.1 A port I put in my ssd drive. Max speed is about 160 MBS. Format is exfat. Will be looking into my motherboard menu. The WAVLINK is a superbly made enclosure. I cannot in fairness criticize the WAVLINK Enclosure yet until further investigation is made.
