The focal length of the Nikon P500 camera is a healthy 22.5-810mm. This feature gives you true wide angle abilities while also letting you capture great telephoto snapshots. The digital zoom ability is 4x, which is equal to a 3,240mm camera lens. This camera prevents close-up distortions with its vibration reduction image stabilization system. It works by using Electronic VR and Image Sensor Shift technology in tandem to reduce extraneous motion. The sharpness of your work can be increased with this helpful feature.The features of the P500 are ably backed by a 12.1-megapixel image sensor. Made with reliable CMOS technology, the 1/2.3 sensor size makes a 4000 by 3000-pixel image size possible. The combination of these factors makes an incredible level of detail possible. This feature really comes into its own with macro photos. With a close-up mode that allows you to get within 0.4 inches of your subject, you can capture great image quality. Contributing is a 36x lens that includes full Optical Zoom. This is backed up by Nikon's NIKKOR ED glass. Both features allow you to get very near to subjects while preventing distortion.The Nikon COOLPIX enhances these strengths with a robust ISO sensitivity range of between 160 and 3200. Taking detailed, clean images after dark or in unfavorable weather conditions is simple. You can also shoot video with the COOLPIX camera. Even high-speed shots at 120 frames per second at QVGA resolution produce great results. You can capture full 12.1MP shots at 8 frames per second for fast shooting. There is an included burst button for taking multiple pics. The sensitivity of the COOLPIX is also enhanced by robust autofocus capabilities. Powered by contrast-detect technology, there are several ingenious features that make photography easier. These include nine-area automatic selection, face priority, 99 focus areas, and even subject tracking. If you're into action photography, this will enable you to take dynamic full HD shots.You'll be able to keep a good eye on these details with the electronic viewfinder. It's a 0.24 inch, 230,000 dot, TFT LCE type that comes with a diopter adjustment function. The diopter addition helps people who are either near- or far-sighted to produce even better photos. In addition, the LCD viewfinder swivels. This allows you to do interesting things like take self-portraits, shoot over crowds, and more. It's also generously sized, coming in at 3.0 inches along the diagonal. Nikon's anti-reflection coating improves visibility in sunlight. You'll be able to connect with a variety of accessories with 480p, 720p, and 1080i HDMI output. In addition, a high-speed USB port allows you to connect and transfer photos easily. The camera also includes built-in A/V output capability. The DSLR includes a slot for an SD card as well, should you wish to utilize extra memory.     Pretty good

    The image quality is very good and it's easy to use; but I would recommend one the latest versions P600, P700 and P900 cause they have wifi and other updated features that P500 doesn't have. Their lenses are also wider (x60). Other than those lack of features, this camera gets the job done very well, I don't regret my purchase.

    My first bridge camera

    I have done my research a long time before I even thought about buying this camera I love this P 500 I would’ve liked the P 600 with a P 610 simply because it is Wi-Fi but being my first bridge camera it does more than expected this is a very good easy first time camera for anyone and it feels great in your handThis point and shoot camera is so easy to use
