  • You don’t have to be a nurse to be able to read and enjoy this book.

Well written book that informs us of the work and in particular nursing duties during her lifetime which included working at Balaklava with Florence Nightingale. In many ways her work was unrecognised until the arrival of the Windrush generation . Many of the passengers subsequently trained to become nurses and interest in the work and life of Mary Seacole was researched and recognised.
