    An Unparrelleled Set - at almost any price!

    This set is very informative - so much so that many of the very dramatic revelations pertaining to WWII and the Cold War (sorry, I haven't yet seen the ones on the Gulf War and Viet Nam to judge) before it was first aired in the mid-90's were either little or totally unknown. Many of the episodes are very riveting. All are interesting. It was aired first I believe on the History Channel in the early 2,000's under the title, "Sworn to Secrecy" back when the History Channel used to air shows on, what a concept, history. The show was then discontinued and then, gained limited distribution and sold on a per-episode basis by Time-Life. It was, however, until now not available at any price in wide distribution.     Secrets of War

    The Secrets of War is an excellent value of a consistently entertaining and educational series--recommended for anyone interested in history, warfare, and intrigue. I enjoy it so much, I have given two as gifts to friends whom I know will enjoy it as much as I do. Also, Charlton Heston as a narrator adds dignity, gravitas (how long has it been since that once-trendy word has been used?), and élan.

    These 65 episodes are really great. Learned many new things and many video clips of these old films that I have not seen before. Charleston Heston is an outstanding choice for narration. if you are a war history buff, you will really like this set.

    Secrets of war comprises a lot of formerly classified info that you are not readily knowledgeable about.

    Anyone that is a history buff or loves war movies would cherish the set. The price for 10 episodes would normally be sold for more than I paid. I gave it as gifts.
