    It's real S-Video! There's a lot of information going around about getting component through S-Video instead of true S-Video. I'm happy to say this is not that and I'm happy that I bought this instead of spending 50+ dollars on OEM S-Video cables. 2 pictures are attached, one is the standard Composite and the other is S-Video cable. The S video is so much clearer and crisper. Composite to S-Video is the largest quality jump compared from S-Video to component. It looks great and works great!
