    For reasons stated in e-mails back and forth with Seller (all in the Ebay system) , I believe the item description is inaccurate and somewhat misleading. I purchased this radio based on seller's representation that it is "working perfectly". My experience was very different. I also note the unstated substitution of output tubes. ON A POSITIVE NOTE: Seller is unusually communicative, shipping was rapid, and packing was exceptional.

    The buyer informed in the first message that he had made the wrong purchase because he was not familiar with the radio, although the ad had many detailed pics. Tubes are new, high efficiency and for military use In order to get the refund at my expense, he invented problems with the device. None of that was necessary, he just needed to ask me for the refund. The radio is working fine, certified by HAM colleagues. I value quality and honesty in sales.
