Synopsis
An American soldier from inside the helicopter grabbed my tiny hand. On my back, I had my little girl, Xuan Nga. To make matters even more difficult, I was three months pregnant. My body was swinging in the air outside the helicopter. My husband, with our son, Qu c Trang, on his back, was tied to my wrist and, with his other hand, clung to my ankle. As our helicopter began to lift off in the dark, those who could not get onboard grabbed the landing gear and clung to it, only to lose their grip as the helicopter rose high into the sky and headed out to sea. My husband and I touched each other once we got inside the helicopter to make sure we still had both children on our backs. Looking out at the landscape below, we saw that the airport and much of Saigon was burning. A great sadness came over us. We were saying goodbye to all that we had ever known. Tears fell from my eyes as I thought about my brothers and sister left behind in that burning city. I tried to keep my eyes wide open so I could capture the memories of my last minutes in Vi t Nam, but I saw only the vivid red and orange of a burning airport and city as the helicopter took us higher into the sky.", An American soldier from inside the helicopter grabbed my tiny hand. - r***r (2947)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseBook arrived today, 2 days before deadline given by the seller. Well-packaged & in good condition. Price was very competitive, & the book was accurately listed. Great communication. I appreciate the seller getting back to me when I was having trouble tracking the book's delivery progress. Apparently there were 2 different tracking numbers - one in Canada & the other in the U.S., since it was initially shipped from Canada. Thank you very much for your quick response & helpful information.Rethinking Investing: A Very Short Guide to Very Long-Term Investing by Charles (#396183075510)
- e***_ (12)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseSeller handles a massive inventory so I give them grace on the slow processing and shipping. They were very communicative and prompt with their response when I messaged in asking about it. Book was in good condition as described. Small ding on the page edges which wasn't mentioned, but that's fairly common even at your typical book store. Still a good value and I'd buy from them again.
- 6***i (875)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseThe book arrived faster than advertised and came in flawless condition since it was so well packed. The price was great and so was the seller's customer service when I contacted them with a question. I would not hesitate to buy from this seller again!
