    Strong story with A list actors and excellent image rendering

    Had not heard of Twilight Time who produced the Blu-Ray. For a non-major studio, the rendering was excellent. Colors were crisp and the sound, from 1959, was clear and well done. I should note that I viewed the film on an 85 in. screen supported by high end electronics. it's not clear why this film hasn't garnered a bigger audience in so far as reissues are concerned. In fact one could say that Mel Brooks drew from it in the early portions of Blazing Saddles. As for engaging characters - there's Henry Fonda, Richard Widmark, Anthony Quinn, and of course Dorothy Malone - it might be easier to count the westerns she wasn't in than those she was.

    Good movie looks good on Blu

    Darn good, complex, 50s western. Not a typical shoot 'em up. Allegiances switch. Someone is right, then he is wrong. This is a muddied morality play, with great performances from Richard Widmark, Henry Fonda, and Anthony Quinn. Dorothy Malone also stars, and you get to see a young Frank Gorshin (pre-Batman's Riddler). The picture and sound are good. The special features are virtually non-existent though. A newsreel and a trailer? Bummer. The price may be a bit high for a disc with so few features, but the movie is hard to find anywhere, so the price makes sense.
