Fast, dependable router
This is the best router I have ever owned. All my devices in the house connect and get the same signal strength as the next device with the MIMO technology. could not make it work
as a refurbished item, we did not expect any issues but finally we ended up talking to Linksys support, extended warranty and will be returning the item to the manufacturer soon. The router behaved like a switch - it allowed the wired computer to acquire the IP from the modem. (Yes the modem was connected to the right jack in the router.). Since the router could not acquire the IP from the modem, wireless networks worked but after authentication, laptops could not get to the Internet. Wasted couple hours, ended up connecting back six-year-old WRT Linksys router which worked without any issues. So much for upgrading technology to newer. Nervous - Completely Satisfied
This router was very easy to set up. 1. Removed previous router 2. Put in new router (I did need to use different power cable, but Ethernet connections were all the same) 3. Open web browser on with my computer (connected via Ethernet) 4. Open up browser and log on to the router (admin is the password) 5. Create new WiFi name and password It can update itself (a feature you can turn off, but why?)! I can now connect with my phone from a much further distance, insomuch that I've removed an extender that I had once needed. I can open ports for specific devices, rather than just specific IP addresses! This makes it very friendly so I don't have to configure my devices to specific addresses. I can log on to the router with my phone. These are some very cool capabilities of doing that! 1. I can give all connected devices specific names, so they're easier to identify 2. I can give priority to 3 of the devices, just in case there are LOTS of devices connected, or internet is slow. 3. I can restart the router 4. I can set times for certain devices to receive a connection 5. I can toggle on/off a Guest connection 6. I can see everyone that's connected to each wifiVerified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

East setup, fairly reliable.
Fairly easy install. Turned off WiFi on my CenturyLink C1100t Modem/Router (it's WiFi is terribly unreliable) and had this router take over Wi-Fi. Did drop the 5ghz signal during a movie a few days after install for some unknown reason. Switched to 2.4ghz to finish our movie then rebooted router, 5ghz came back and has been okay so far. Improved signal strength, but a few quirks
Significantly improved signal strength in my home. Some quirk in setup prevented my access to the setup routine. Had to call tech support, who helped with entire setup. Guest access is only password protected -- cannot use WPA2-PSK or any other encryption scheme on ANY Linksys router. Set up is very easy and it works well
I bought the router refurbished and it came in a simple both with setup instructions, patch cable, power cable, and antennae. The router is easy to get set up and use with one caveat. The Linksys Smart Wi-Fi android app has pictures and text relating to a very different type of router so it makes you think you have the wrong app. When you go to sign up for an account online the language is also kinda confusing about getting it set up. It didn't work the first time through the app prompts but after that it worked fine. Note the default router administrative password is in the documentation. The app and desktop interfaces are clear and easy to use. Didn't have to do anything special to set up the router itself. It has wall mounts which are nice but they really fit best on nails rather than screws. The router has a nice number of ports as well. No issues thus far.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Improved signal strength and reliability
This router is much more capable with a stronger signal than my previous router. Even with the use of a range extender, I would sometimes lose signal. To be fair, my demands (number of devices depending upon the router) have increased significantly and the older router apparently was unable to satisfy the demand. The signal from the Linksys AC1900 is much stronger throughout the house (without the need for an extender) and so far it is able to keep up with the demand for bandwidth.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Fast speeds and easy setup!
