It is a bone conducting headphones
it is a strong bone conduction. I needed it Wired because it needed to be an easy set up (just plug and go instead of dabbling with bluetooth setting). I bought this to experiment with our elderly resident to see if this style of headphones would work with their hearing aid. Some can benefit from it as the headphones does not create the squeeling sound because the ear canal is open. Regular over the ear headphones creates that squeel that residents hates. In-ear is not possible as most of the residents have hearing aid. Some of residents with super bad hearing issues sense the vibration and they can actually figure out that it is music that they are hearing it is just that "it is not a distinct sound". Good for situations that need open ears
I bought these because the rule where I work is that you can only have one earphone in for safety reasons. I hate only having one in so this lets me have both and still comply with the rules. The sound quality isn’t as good imo as normal headphones but better than using just one regular earphone. Great for podcast.
Not so much for music but that’s okay. It can also be used to watch tv, audiobooks and talking on the phone. For the gym it’s very durable but since it’s open air the sounds of people working out and even the gyms soundtrack might get in the way. There is a little noise that others can hear emitting from the device but not too loud that they know what you’re listening to. The bone conduction sensation took about a day for me to get used to but after that it was barely noticeable. These will give you the ability to hold a conversation and be very aware of your surroundings so that’s a huge. Can be worn with glasses and hats.
