Solid quality & high value for price
These rods are excellent for touching up an edge. Not for very dull edges that need reprofiled, but great for bringing back an edge after some regular use, or polishing an edge after first sharpening with rougher grit. Fits in my kitchen block and handles all my kitchen and pocket EDC knives. TIP: after several uses it gets covered with fine metal dust- won't wipe off or come off with soap. Use COMET or a toilet or bath cleaner, and it wipes right off to restore the rod. Also- don't drop these- it's ceramic- it will break. Works on all edge geometries, but not the best for convex edges. If you know the differences between final edge grind geometries, chances are you already know all of this anyhoo.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This sharpening rod seems to be well made, but I have been a little disappointed with the results. I have used it to finish several knives and it doesn't put the edge on them that I am looking for.
