Engaging and very educational
Without being overly scholarly, the authors vividly explain the foreshadowing of the coming Messiah as symbolized in the feasts given by God to the Israelites after their escape from Egypt. I have used this book as a reference countless times and enjoy the illustrations and personal accounts peppered throughout the book. All tradition and rabbinical, very little actual Biblical instruction.
I was very disappointed in this book. There is very little substance that has anything to do with the actual Bible, most of it is all about rabbinic tradition and oral law. Also, calling it “The feasts of the Lord” Is misleading because it includes many man-made feasts, fasts and celebrations of the Jews that are not commanded by YHWH, such as Purim and Hanukkah and other minor feast days. Perhaps the totle should have been “How Traditional Jew Celebrate their Cultural Holidays”. There are only 7 commanded feasts and they are YHWH’s feasts. These other holidays are not commanded by the Father at all. I don’t recommend this book if someone wants to honor YHWJ but keeping His feasts biblically. If someone wants to follow traditional rabbinic Judaism, go for it. This book is for you then. Thumbs down.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Awesome and amazing book!
This is the most amazing book I found for studying the feasts of Israel. It has amazing pictures and content. It shows how Jesus is woven into every feast that God instituted for the Israelites.
