    Love isn't always at first sight.

    This trilogy of movies constitutes some of the better family fare out there these days, and years after each of the films was originally aired, they still stand the test of time. It's wonderful whenever you watch a movie (in this case, "Sarah, Plain &Tall"), and, when it's over, find yourself wondering -- and genuinely CARING -- what happened to the characters in the story AFTER the story ended. It's even more wonderful when you have not one, but TWO more films which more than adequately answer that query, but leave you with a feeling of satisfaction that life is good and everything is going to be just fine. Can't recommend this great feel-good trio of fine family fare highly enough!

    Problem

    My order arrived, but there is a problem. I put it in today to watch, and Disc #1 is fine. Disc 2 has major problems. It "freezes up". The movie won't play. I think this is a manufacturing issue. Some flaws on the edge as well.

    a great story line

    This story is timeless in it's telling. It has good characters and reveals life as it once was for many who lived on the prairie during this time period. To many who live now in the modern luxury we take for granted, it will reveal the hardship of life they will never see. In this we see risks taken by a man and a woman who wants a little more out of life than what they have. We see the triumph of the faithfulness and steadfast 'can do' attitude That built the America we know today.

    it's a great family series that teaches many good characteristics and real life and how to handle issues. one of the few family movies left that is safe for the whole family to view. there is a good deal of learning of occupations and weather and history in these films. real life stuff.

You follow about 20 years of growth of the family and the adventures they experience and endure. Excellent casting and writing by Hallmark of 3 stories on 2 DVDs. The background scenery is worth the viewing alone. Enjoy!
