Excellent Electrical Diagnostic Tool
Excellent product! The circuit, that you want to turn-off, must be electrically powered for the Ideal Circuit Breaker Finder to work. Many circuits in my home were not identified at the electrical panel and so it typically took two(2) people, one at the electrical panel and one at the outlet, to find the correct circuit breaker to shut off the power. One person could do the job but you'd be walking back and forth from the electric panel to the outlet to see if you turned off the right circuit breaker. Now it's a one-man job with the Ideal Circuit Breaker Finder; i.e. put the transmitter in the circuit you want to turn-off, go to the electrical panel and find the correct circuit breaker, turn it off, and then double-check the outlet for power. Worked partially initially!
The product when in proper working order is a great tool for locating breakers without flipping them off. The product I received was used and does work but only visually. The tone doesn't function at all. This was disappointing.
