  • Expertly directed, filmed and acted! Tennessee Williams approved of Ann-Margret in the part.

In my opinion, this TV production of the classic play "A Streetcar Named Desire" is extremely well done. Expertly directed, all of the acting is first rate with Ann-Margret an excellent stand-out in the role of Blanche Du Bois. I liked everything about this production.

  • They even speak the lingo

Perfect casting in what can only be said to be the most compelling performance of 'Streetcar' I've experienced. With understandable dialog kept in accents and dialects of the New Orleans south the only raising of the voice comes when it is expected and by staying true to the script a total experience as written is strongly given. This is not your 'New York' Streetcar.....this Mr. Williams as he was meant to be felt. Enjoy!
