      Fabulous read.

      This is such an unusual story. I absolutely loved it and read it in 2 sittings - very difficult to put down. Beautifully written - I really could see the swamp and knew the characters. Will definitely read this book again and am looking forward to reading more of this author.

      A wonderful, thought provoking rea....

      Our book club all bought a copy of this as we couldnt get to our local library. I had never heard of it and the title is intriguing but gives nothing away. I absolutely loved it and would recommend it as a brilliant, thought provoking and beautiful book. Some of our group even said it was the best book they had read for years.......Get a copy right away!

      Hard to put down

      This is one of the most compelling reads I have enjoyed for some time. The format of short chapters intertwined between different periods in time is excellent. The story line is wonderful and the parochial dialogue reminded me of Harper Lee and To Kill a Mockingbird. A gem of a book.
