The book although outdated by modern standards now, is an excellent read and still very relevant in many chapters.
It's good to read in old money again and be taken back to an era that I so clearly remember. Much of what Archie writes about are forgotten values and simple practices that today are overlooked in favour of electric do dars. If you shoot pigeons this should be required reading. If you don't shoot pigeon then read it and Archie explains in simple terms why people shoot and why pigeons need shooting. Unfortunately the book wasn't as described and in very poor condition. However, it's not going back, it's a read re read and maybe, just maybe lend to my friends.
