      Better Than The MSFL Version!

      Since it was released, DIre Straits 'Brothers In Arms' is one of my very favorite albums, ever. Over the years, I have listened to it on countless systems in all released versions - including cassette, cd and lp, and I would love to know the exact number of times I've listened to it. The vinyl versions I have owned include the US Warner Bros, the German Vertigo, the R.T.I. double-lp 180g and now the Abbey Road double 45 rpm. I also have the first four Dire Straits studio albums on Mobile Fidelty 45 rpms - which are fantastic! I was about to buy the Mofi version of BIA when I read an article explaining the exceptional care and lengths that went into the AR version and decided to purchase it, instead, and I am not even a little sorry or disappointed that I did!       Amazing half mastered sound, but the vinyl is very noisy and not just the regular vinyl noise. Has a rotational mechanical sound that is heard in multiple turntables and can be distracting on low volume tracks. Its on both sides of both records.
