    Best Idea for Home Mechanic

    I looked at the mid lift jacks in the $2,000/$3,000 range and decided that four of these would do pretty much what that life would so I bought four of them. Wow. I used a rolling floor jack to get the car just high enough to get one of these under each corner of the car. Jacking each jack one click of the safety catch, I have enough room to do all the repairs I need to do. 6000 lb lift on all four corners is an easy chore for these lifts. I love the locking safety system. Just let it fall into place, relieve the hydraulics and let the jack lock for safe passage under your car. Plenty of lift for most any DIY car buff. A couple of 2 x 4's gave me another 1.5" of height also and no issues with stability either. Love them.
