Able to print quickly, this printer can print up to 22 black text pages per minute and 15 color text pages per minute. Snapshots at the maximum resolution will print a little slower; a 4 x 6-inch photo prints in about 36 seconds. This PIXMA printer accepts many paper sizes including letter, legal, and envelopes, as well as, 4 x 6-inch and 5 x 7-inch prints.     great workhorse printer

    can handle multiple sizes and envelopes with no problem. good color matching. If you can get one, GET IT. They're great printers, but they're no longer being manufactured. summary: a FIVE STAR printer that will last years, but is sadly doomed to extinction.

    Printhead Issues

    I received the Pixma IP3000 which is a very good machine however I've not been able to evaluate it's performance because the printhead was unusable. It appears the the printer sat for awhile without being used. I'm sure this caused the ink to dry up and clog the printhead. I will have to find and purchase a printhead before I evaluate the printer quality.

    Excellent replacement for a broken i560 (actually an upgrade)

    Replaced a busted i560. Uses same ink cartridges - good. Both a top sheet feeder and a tray - good. Keep envelopes in feeder and paper in tray - convenient. Says it does duplex printing (both sides?) - haven't tried that yet. An excellent upgrade printer for my low volume needs.
