They are not sewn shut like new blazers. These are not meant to be opened. Probably bc it was a rental. The pockets can hang open and distort the look of the front of the jacket if not sewn closed.

This was late on a Friday afternoon and the correct jacket was received the next Monday! Cannot get any better than that. Excellent, honest, responsive seller.
