Replacement leg catches for the B&D Workmate
These catches were easy to install and returned my workmate to as new function. They cost more than I wanted to pay but at least they work! I wish B&D had designed the workmate with something better than plastic for this part.

Wildly overpriced
It's a simple plastic clip that is wildly overpriced. If you're willing to be gouged it indeed will hold the workmate leg in position as expected. Since no one else seems to be making this, you'll have to pay what they demand for it. I guess the old ones broke from hard use and cold weather brittleness. I was trying to figure out something with magnets, but gave up and coughed up the dough. Best price I could find for 4 with shipping; $55.55 Canadian for a few pennies worth of plastic that could easily have been mailed for a couple of bucks and change.It's a simple plastic clip that is wildly overpriced. these latches seem to break when it is cold in my garage. will see how these do in cold weather. plastic gets brittle
time will tell. I use my workmate in cold weather and the original ones snapped when they were cold and I set the legs. will see how theses stand up :)

Yes I would recommend the product because it gets your bench back to working condition. On the other hand I feel they are over priced for what they are. As far as quality only time will tell I can't really say yet, I don't know how durable the plastic material is.

Little over priced I think, but it will fixed those annoying legs that wont stay folded.
My old Workmate 200 has seen a lot of work. The legs would droop when I fold the table up to put it away. I found these new leg catches on ebay. They come in a set of 4, I only needed 3 so now I have a spare. Remove the pegs, ect. from the top of the table and turn the Workmate upside down. Spray a little lubricant on the pins that secure the legs and catches. I used a 3/16" punch and a hammer to drive out the pins. I find the pins are easier to drive out with the legs folded. The new leg catches have a small plastic protrusion in the center of the hook part. You have to remove it so they will fit in the slot of the leg base. I set the new catch flat on an anvil and used a small screw driver as a chisel and a couple of careful smacks with a hammer will remove it.. A little effort they ...
