      Nice heavy duty puller.

      It looks like there's lots of chinese knockoff Briggs pullers for sale on ebay. This one was in a factory box, but may well be made in china also, hard to tell. Wherever it was made though, the puller is heavy duty and well built. Needed it to remove a flywheel from a 18hp opposed twin. Had tried a regular puller and could not get it to break free, even after soaking with penetrant and heating it. Tried hitting the end with a 1lb hammer for shock, but it was only bending the pullers main bolt. Got this Briggs puller since I was giving up. Instructions say to tighten nuts until it pops. No go just tightening the nuts on the puller's bolts. After a few strikes on the main body of the puller with the 1 lb hammer though, it finally broke free. Again, it's very solidly built.

      Solid and well designed tool

      This small engine flywheel puller is well designed using a durable metal casting and appropriate hardware and is reasonably compact. The enclosed instructions are simple but assume the owner has some working knowledge of the activity required to remove a flywheel from the crankshaft. The instructions could be more specific on the use of the tool other than just assembly instructions. Also the flywheel puller kit contains eight critical parts that could easily become lost. A packaging change from a cardboard box to a simple plastic pouch would prevent that from happening.
