I had in the past read the popular "Into Thin Air" by Jon Krakauer and found it facinating. But in that book he was highly critical of the lead guide from Mountain Madness, another expidition up on hte Everest that day. THIS book is written by/with Antolli Boukreev who was the guide in his own words. It explains a myltitude of things that MAY have been able to be done to have changed the horrific ending of one of the deadliest days on Everest thus far. Blew through the book in no time flat it was such a good read. Highly reccommend it to anyone!
Good reading. Different perspective than Thin Air.

Reading this book is an adventure in reading. This is why your first grade teacher wanted you to learn to read and immerse yourself in books. Should be required reading and I prefer it to into thin air;which was also good. Right there beside Moby Dick or The Whale on your bookshelf I hope
This was an excellent read that sorted out a lot of details about the fateful climb. It's about time Anatoli was able to tell what really happened.
